もし、「今年東大は受験しない」という方は見ていただかなくて構いません。
しかし、もしあなたが東大受験生で、
「数学で自分の点数をもっと伸ばしたい」
そう思っているなら、この記事はきっとあなたの役に立つと思います。
というのも私自身がこのやり方で大きく点数を伸ばしたからです。
私は高２の頃、東大の同日試験の数学で0点/80点を取ってしまいました。
しかし、合格時には文系数学で54点/80点と合格者平均を上回る点数を取ることができました。
ここまで私が点数を伸ばすことができたのは単に勉強したからだけではなく、
・合理的な根拠があって
・誰でも真似・応用できる
・ちょっとした工夫
をしていたからです。
ややテクニック的な話になってしまいますが、是非真似してして使っていただけたらと思います。
その解き方、本当にそれで合ってる？
まず、質問させてください。
あなたはどんな風に東大の過去問を解いていますか？
こんなことを聞くと、
「どうって言われても、普通に問題見て解答書くってことじゃないの？」
という答えが返ってきそうです。
しかし、ここに点数を最大化させるヒントがあるのです。
下を見てください。これは東大の問題用紙です。
ほとんどの受験生はここに計算したり、図を書いたりしながら、解法を思いついたら解答用紙に書こうとします。
解答は解答用紙に直接書く
一見何の問題もなさそうな行為に見えますが、実はここに大きな2つの落とし穴があります。
1つは、
解法を思いついても解けるとは限らないというリスクです。例えば、
「これは三角関数を使えば解けるんじゃないか？」
そう思っても、解答に辿りつくまでには計算を進めていく必要があるでしょう。
もし、途中から「やっぱりこれじゃ解けない」となった時はまた解答を1から作り直さないといけません。
解答を仕上げた時間や消しゴムで消す時間など大きく時間のロスになってしまいます。
さらに、これだけではありません。
解答を仕上げたとしても、説明の不備や計算ミスなどの細かいミスに気付きにくいリスクもあります。
人間の心理として、解答を仕上げると「できた！」という嬉しさが出てしまいます。それに加え、時間的にも余裕がある試験ではないので、「次の問題にいこう」と思ってしまいがちです。
そのため、仕上げた解答のチェックが甘くなったり、そもそもチェックしてもミスに気がつけないという事態が起こりやすくなります。
実際、私も最初のミスに気がつくことができずに20点を丸々飛ばしてしまったり、細かいミスを見つけることができずに20点を取り切ることができなかったりと苦い経験をたくさんしてきました。
端的に言ってしまうと
・解答を書き直すなど時間の大幅なロスになる可能性がある
・ミスに気が付きにくくなってしまう
以上の2点から計算をちょろっとしてから直接解答に書き込む方法はオススメしません。
ミスが激減！超合理的な東大数学の解答の作り方
ではどのように解答を作れば、時間も節約できて、ミスも減らせるのでしょうか？
私が実際にやって0点から54点まで大きく数学の点数を伸ばした方法、
それは、
１：問題用紙に解答の下書きを作る
２：一個一個チェックしながら清書として解答を書く
この2つを実践することです。順に説明します。
まず1つ目、「問題用紙に解答の下書きを作る」ですが、計算をするなどのメモはしつつ、
スペースがあるところに解答用紙に書く説明や計算式を全て書いてしまいましょう。
こんなイメージです。↓
そして、2つ目「一個一個チェックしながら清書として解答を書く」ですが、
下書きで書いた解答を見つつ、計算ミスや誤った説明・飛躍した説明がないか、チェックしつつ、解答を丁寧に清書していきます。
なぜ、こんな面倒なことをするのか？
もしかすると、このように思われたかもしれませんが、
これには2つの大事な意図があります。
それは
・冷静な目で解答を見るため
・解答を綺麗に、無駄なくするため
です。
解答が出せたときは、嬉しさや興奮があるため、冷静にミスをチェックするのが難しいというのは先ほどお伝えした通りです。
これを下書きで書いて、清書することにしてしまえば、
最後の解答だけでなく、一文一文チェックせざるを得ない状況が生まれます。
つまり、より冷静な目で
「本当に計算合ってるか？」
「本当にその説明で良いか？」
と目を光らせながらチェックする仕組みができるため、ミスが減るのです。
さらにそのような１行ごとの強制Wチェックを減ることで
「この説明無駄じゃない？」
「ここは説明もっと入れた方がいいかも」
など、解答の仕方もスマートになります。
つまり、抜けや漏れのない完璧に近い解答を目指すことができる
ということです。
大事なのは取れる点数を最大化すること
確かにこのやり方は1発で完璧に近い解答を作り上げたい人にとっては、時間のかかる・面倒なやり方かもしれません。
全完（全ての問題を完答して満点を取ること）を目指す人には向いていないやり方でしょう。
しかし、私たちは全完を目指す必要はありません。
大事なのは何より東大に受かること、そのために
自分が取れる点数を最大化するということです。
試験では全ての問題を正解することはできませんし、そうする必要もありません。
「自分が解ける領域」に「実際に解ける領域」をいかに近づけられるか？
これが受験においてとても大切なことです。
なので、20点取れる問題は確実に20点取り切る。減点させる余地を与えない。
そんな「仕組み」「方法」を自分なりに作ることがとても大切なのです。
もちろん数学の試験である以上、数学の力をつけることから逃げることはできません。
しかし、
取れる点数を絶対落とさない
こうした視点を持って勉強できるとさらにあなたの点数を上げることができると思います。
